Nvidia will expand investments in AI infrastructure with new US$ deal 3 billion

The giant Nvidia announced a new partnership to increase investments in AI infrastructure (Artificial intelligence). As announced on Friday (7), the company signed an agreement worth up to R$ 3 billion with Lancium, developer of energy infrastructure associated with the Stargate data center campus, no Texas, USA. The company's complex is considered the first operational location directly linked to the Stargate initiative and has Blackstone as one of its largest investors.

This movement is linked to the advancement of Stargate, venture formed by SoftBank, OpenAI and Oracle to develop data center facilities. The partnership occurs at a time when Lancium seeks to expand its operations. Initially, the agreement foresees an investment of US$ 2 billion, enough to guarantee Nvidia a share of around a fifth of the company.

The possibility of Nvidia increasing investment by another US$ 1 billion will depend on meeting specific targets, how to obtain new connections to the electrical grid. The operation gives Lancium and the set of land and energy connections under its control an enterprise value of approximately US$ 10 billion. The resources should also reinforce the company’s expansion, which evaluates a possible IPO in 2027.

Lancium gains space in the AI sector

The Stargate project was announced in January by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, which stated that participants planned to allocate up to US$ 500 billions to the infrastructure needed for artificial intelligence. Since then, Lancium has been working on fully expanding its operations.

With the new agreement, the estimated business value of the company, considering your real estate assets and your energy connections, comes to around US$ 10 billion. As reported by The Information, the company is evaluating carrying out an initial public offering of shares in 2027.
