Apple is about to launch a new generation of Apple Watch that could change the way users interact with the world around them. The brand's big news will be the inclusion of built-in cameras in some of its wearable device models, along with advanced Artificial Intelligence features (IA). The new feature will offer an experience with greater integration and connectivity for consumers.
The company's proposal is to improve visual interaction technology to facilitate the user's routine. With this new technology, users will have access to contextualized information in a quick and practical way. For that, the integrated cameras will capture images in real time and, through AI-enabled features, the images will be analyzed offering relevant information on the user's screen.
This artificial intelligence will allow the identification of objects, places and also the translation of texts from photographs. Apple's AI enablement will also allow the watch to integrate with AirPods to provide hearing information, creating a seamless, simultaneous experience across Apple devices.
Series and Ultra will have cameras in different locations
Still no official date for commercialization on the technology market, The Apple devices covered by visual technology will be the Apple Watch Standard Series and Apple Watch Ultra models. The standard version will feature a front camera, while the Ultra model will have the camera positioned on the side, due to its own characteristics.
The launch of new models with cameras and AI is scheduled to take place by the year 2027. Plus developing even smarter features for Apple Watch and AirPods, Apple is also investing in the development of augmented reality glasses, that will complement the experience of visual interaction with the environment in the coming years.
