OpenAI makes ChatGPT searches official in real time via internet browsing

OpenAI has taken an important step towards consolidating itself as a reliable and secure generative search engine. A startup, developer of the popular ChatGPT, officialized its new feature that allows integrated searches with internet browsers. The “Browse With Bing” functionality allows users to get up-to-date answers in real time.

Until then, all results obtained through the Artificial Intelligence chatbot (IA) had as a reference data collected until September 2021. Like this, despite being effective, ChatGPT ended up being limited by not following the facts. Now, updates will allow users to have access to a much wider range of safe and truthful information.

Multimedia resources

The new solution promises to make the platform not only safer, but, also, highly dynamic. Com o “Browse With Bing”, Searches have also become multimedia, allowing ChatGPT to integrate not only textual search features, but, also visual and sound.

The new OpenAI works by integrating search similar to Bing, Microsoft search tool, who is currently a partner of the startup. Bing performs your searches on Windows via the Edge browser, using third-party plugins. ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise subscribers already have access to the new feature, being able to use it without activating Beta mode.

New product was being tested

OpenAI has already stated that it aims to become a real-time multimedia generative search engine. That's why, this feature is not, in fact, a novelty, composing a set of recent updates. The startup was already testing the latest functionality. Although, due to challenges involving browsing security and training datasets, the news had not yet been made official.

Only now has the startup made this difference official after reimplementing the Beta version. The internet service was integrated into ChatGPT in March this year. Until then, OpenAI had been making the appropriate adjustments and, in September, has been reactivated following new content ownership guidelines and respecting the sites' robots.txt file.

The company also announced the transaction of DALL-E3 for the Beta version. This new integration model is what allows you to request images and receive them directly via textual queries, preventing the user from needing to access different platforms in their searches.
