Brazil is among the 5 countries that use ChatGPT the most

The data once again proves that Brazilians are interested in and massively using innovations and technological solutions. A recent analysis showed that Brazil is the 4th country that most uses the generative AI tool (Artificial intelligence) ChatGPT, by OpenAI.

Powered by Semrush, company specializing in online visibility data management, the survey analyzed traffic from January 2024. The 475 millions of global queries registered in this period, 124 millions were made by Brazilians.

In percentage numbers, this represents 5,16% of ChatGPT's overall traffic for the beginning of the year. The country was second only to the United States, from India and Indonesia. Furthermore, stood out in relation to important nations such as the United Kingdom, Germany and Canada.

Top 10: ChatGPT's biggest supporters

Semrush survey used Traffic Analytics, your smart tool, for data measurement. The traffic analysis feature is based on more than 200 millions of users. This entire survey proved the great growth of ChatGPT from one to the next.

Compared to the same period of 2023, OpenAI's solution has increased 178,1% in number of visits. Based on strong adherence to the generative solution, the countries that made the most inquiries on the chatbot were:

  2. India – 11,62%
  3. Indonesia - 6,17%
  4. Brazil - 5,16%
  5. Filipinas – 4,72%
  6. Germany - 2,85%
  7. Canada – 2,70%
  8. United Kingdom - 2,67%
  9. France - 2,35%
  10. Spain - 2%

User profile

In addition to general access and growth numbers, the survey also identified the ChatGPT user profile. Generally speaking, young adult men are the ones who most use the tool. The difference is big in relation to the female audience: 67,5% of hits come from the male group. Most users have between 25 e 34 years.
